The Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants to Serve up Insights and Awards at Annual Meeting August 27
The Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA) will host an annual meeting and awards luncheon for CPAs state-wide on Friday, August 27, 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Little America Hotel, 500 S. Main St. in Salt Lake City. The event will feature insights for CPAs and other business professionals on legislative, regulatory, and political issues; the most recent news on considerations in financial reporting standards; and, awards highlighting significant accomplishments of local CPAs. Remember to Cast Your Vote on AICPA Proposed Bylaw Change
This past spring, the AICPA’s governing Council unanimously authorized a member ballot on a proposed bylaw amendment to update the requirements for admission of voting members to the Institute. This recommendation is a part of the first major comprehensive review of admission requirements for the AICPA since the 1950s. More.
License Renewal Forms Sent to Utah CPAs – Due by September 30, 2010
The Department of Professional Licensing (DOPL) has sent individual and firm renewal forms to all CPAs holding a Utah CPA license or firm registration. Renewal forms are due by September 30, 2010 to remain in compliance with Utah law and rules pertaining to the practice of Accountancy. If you did not receive your renewal form, contact DOPL immediately at 801.530.6628. You may also renew your license online or view a sample of the renewal forms by going to dopl.utah.gov/licensing/accountancy.
