Examination Requirements for Licensure: In order to complete the licensure process, a candidate must pass the Uniform CPA Examination, the Utah Law and Rules Examination, and the AICPA Ethics Self-Study Examination. The AICPA Ethics Self-Study Examination can be purchased through the Utah Association of CPAs. The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing has provided a CPA Candidate Information Bulletin that provides detailed information on the licensing examination process. Licensure Requirements in Utah: The Statute and Rules that govern CPA licensure in Utah can be found on the Division of Occupational and Professionl Licensing website. Applications for licensure for individual CPAs and registration forms for public accounting firms can be obtained from the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing: Fees for CPA licensure and CPA firm registration can also be found on the individual application forms. Note: an individual who has their own practice must have both an individual CPA license to practice AND be registered with DOLP as a CPA firm.
