Member Benefits

The UACPA provides a host of benefits for members! These include discounts on products and services, access to professional development and much more. Perhaps the most valuable may be the least obvious -- advocacy on behalf of the CPA Profession. Here are a few of the things that the UACPA does on your behalf:

Membership Categories

Fellow Membership: To qualify for Fellow Membership in the UACPA, you must provide proof of licensure or successful passage of the Uniform CPA examination.

Nonresident: To qualify for Nonresident membership, you must live outside of Utah and qualify as a regular Fellow member or Non-CPA Affiliate.

Retired: A retired member must be age 55 or over and gainfully employed 15 hours or less per week.

Family Leave: A member (either inside or outside of Utah) who is not gainfully employed over 15 hours a week and, for family reasons, is unable to participate fully in UACPA membership.

Education Leave: Member enrolled full time in a formal education program and, for educational reasons, is unable to fully participate in UACPA membership.

Affiliate Categories (Affiliates may not present themselves as members of the UACPA.)

Non-CPA Professional Affiliate: Must have earned a BA degree or above and be willing to sign a statement that they will abide by the Code of Professional Conduct and Professional Ethics as appropriate. Sponsorship by two Fellow Members is required.

Benefits: Full membership benefits but may not hold office or be a committee or task force chair. May be listed in a special section of the membership directory.

Student Affiliate: Must be enrolled in a college or university with an interest in accounting or business.

Benefits: Receive The Journal Entry electronically; network with younger CPAs within a variety of firms and employers; special social events; receives Member CPE rate. Will not be listed in the membership directory.
