Utah CPA Foundation Mission: The mission of the Utah CPA Foundation is to provide financial support to three major initiatives sponsored by the UACPA.

• Financial Literacy Program - Provides Financial Literacy Education to Utah Citizens so that they can make smart financial choices, understand money and financial issues, and plan for the future and respond to life events. The UACPA is making a difference in people’s lives and the service we are providing is critical to their well being and the well being of their families.

• ProNet Council - The ProNet Council is an outreach program for accounting students and young professionals to introduce them to the accounting profession, help them navigate the path to becoming a CPA, celebrate their entry into the profession, develop them as leaders, and promote the value of giving back to the profession. There is a shortage of accounting majors and a need to encourage those majors to choose to become a CPA. Once they make that choice, the ProNet Council will help them through the process of becoming a CPA , help them expand their professional network, and provide leadership development opportunities.

• High School Accounting Educators Awards - recognizes outstanding accounting educators at the high school level, who teach valuable accounting life skills and can have a major impact on the choices their students make regarding a college major. By supporting and recognizing high school educators, we acknowledge their importance to the profession.

We Need Your Help!

In January 2010, the Foundation kicked off a major fund raising campaign to secure the financial resources needed to fund our activities and we need your help to do it. Make a difference and contribute to the Utah CPA Foundation.
