CPAs come from 360 degrees of experience and types of work. These include:

• Public Practice: CPAs employed in public practice provide accounting, auditing, taxation, consulting and other services for third parties. They can work in very large global CPA firms, national firms, regional or local firms and sole practitioners
• Business and Management: CPAs are employed at all levels in companies (public, private, non-profit) of all sizes and specialties. Many CPAs begin their business careers in traditional accounting roles and then expand their experience and expertise into other areas of business management.
• Government: CPAs are also employed in every size and variety of governmental unit from the national level to cities, towns, school districts and other governmental agencies.
• Education: CPAs also are involved in educational institutions from teaching positions through management of colleges and universities across the globe.
