Position Summary:
Reports to the payroll director. Responsible for processing payroll in compliance with company policies. Supports shared services team with payroll related inquiries and performs a variety of accounting tasks related to payroll processes.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll processing by the pre-determined deadline.
- Ensure all payroll documentation is properly archived.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality pertaining to all payroll matters.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the bonus payments, retro wages, and any other special payrolls off-cycle requests.
- Review and adjust payroll related items in error suspense account.
- Complete month-end accounting journal entries related to payroll.
- Support finance department and shared services team with employee payroll-related inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation of audit requests as they arise.
- It is expected that the employee shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field plus three years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong computer skills with a willingness to learn new processes and information systems.
- Unless waived by management, valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
- Workforce Solution and Oracle Fusion software program experience is a plus.
