Enterprise Zone Tax Credit Applications

The Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development has been working to quickly process  Enterprise Zone tax credit applications with the goal to have as many as possible completed for the April 15th tax deadline. They anticipate you have been experiencing a quicker turnaround from application to receipt of an approval letter and a tax credit certificate. In some recent cases this has been as few as 5 business days. 

As you are well aware, the April 15 tax deadline has been delayed until May 17. "We intend to continue to process tax credits, but want to recalibrate your expectations back to the standard 30 day turnaround time in April and May," Jim Grover, GOED's director of compliance says,

"Our GOED staff provides support for many other new and existing programs, including COVID-19 business relief grants expected to take the majority of our time from the end of April through mid May."
